About Us

Weise Funeral Home began as the J.H. Thomson Funeral Home in the early 1950's under the ownership of James and Florence Thomson. The funeral home also served as a family residence and was much smaller than the facility we offer today. Mr. & Mrs. Thomson served the Allen Park community from this location until his retirement in January 1975.

In January 1975, the J.H. Thomson Funeral Home was purchased by three Wyandotte brothers: Robert, Gary, and John Weise. Since that time, the Weise family has periodically expanded and updated the facility and now offers over 11,000 square feet dedicated specifically to funeral service with convenient parking for 150 cars.

Since 2004, the second generation of the Weise family has continued to own and operate the funeral home under the management of Robert A. Weise. Our staff is dedicated to providing the best personalized and modern service people have come to expect from our family since 1975. Our motto is: "You Get Things Here You Don't Get Anywhere Else!"

Our Mission Statement

Weise Funeral Home is a family of professional people who are related by choice and invitation. We gather together whenever called to serve other families who are in need of our very specialized services. Because we serve families at the most psychologically debilitating time of their lives, we recognize our responsibility to serve with dignity, accuracy, understanding, honesty, and fairness. To do this, we strive to be intuitive in determining the needs of those we serve; we strive to relieve them of the burden of their grief; and we strive to respond to their explicit and implicit desires in detail - to the best of our ability.
