Born June 9, 1924 in Monesson, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Detroit when Richard was 1 year old, and was raised there. He served in the Army during WW II, and returned to Detroit afterwards, at which point he attended the University of Detroit, earning a bachelor’s degree, and Wayne State University, earning a master’s degree – both in engineering. Richard spent 31 years as an automotive engineer with Ford Motor Co., almost the entirety of his professional career.
Richard enjoyed traveling, gardening, musical instruments and singing, and continued those interests well into retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents Dionisio and Maria, and is survived by his loving wife Josephine, his children Rick Eusani (Susan Yeghissian), Mary (Larry) Hendricks, Lisa (Sam) Costanza, Joanie (Ken) Agosti, his sister Dora DeMarco, and grandchildren Nina Eusani, Lucine Eusani, Greg Hendricks, Cecilia Hendricks and Brian Costanza.
The family will receive visitors at Weise Funeral Home from 4 – 7 pm on Sunday, September 25, 2011. A funeral mass will be said at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dearborn on Monday, September 26 at 11:00am. Memorial Contributions to the National Kidney Foundation or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen would be appreciated.
