Yolande Boehmer

Yolande Boehmer, 92, of Allen Park, Michigan passed peacefully in her sleep on February 19, 2020.

Yolande was born in St. Polycarpe, Quebec, Canada on June 23, 1927. She moved with her mother and father to Detroit, Michigan as a young girl. She attended and graduated from St. Bernard and went on to study at Nazareth College in Kalamazoo. She met the love of her life, Matthew, and they were married November 25, 1950. Matt and Yolande enjoyed 54 years together having 6 children and moving to Allen Park in 1965.

Beloved bride of the late Matthew. Loving mother of Matthew, Mark (deceased), David, John, Yolande Marie and Beatrice Ann (deceased). Loving daughter of the late Jean & Beatrice Andre. Grandmother of 11 & great grandmother of 14.

Yolande was a long-time member of the St. Frances Cabrini Parish. Yolande enjoyed many hobbies that included sewing, needlepoint, painting and gardening, but her biggest love was family. Yolande and her husband Matt loved to celebrate with family and friends. Family birthdays, anniversaries and holidays were always a time to celebrate. She was a member of the VFW auxiliary and served as chaplain for several years at her local post.

Visitation 1:00pm - 6:00pm Sunday, February 23 with 4:00pm Rosary at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park (313-382-1150).

Funeral service 10:00am Monday, February 24 (In state from 9:30am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park.

Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
