Wayne D. Jones

Wayne D. Jones, 71, of Allen Park, passed away on October 12, 2023 after a long and valiant fight with cancer and is now tending the rose gardens in heaven.  He was married to his beloved wife Pam for 36 years, who he cared for deeply.

Wayne was an honest, hardworking, and quiet man who would willingly help people and animals in need.  He loved his gardens, especially roses.  Wayne loved music and enjoyed it at work and home.

Wayne started his career as a cook at Hudson's for 2 years. He then worked for the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn for 34 years, from 1973-2007, primarily on the Mustang and F-150 vehicle assembly lines and as a HI-Lo driver.  He retired earlier than expected due to medical issues.

Wayne is survived by his wife Pamela E. Jones, brother Paul (Pat) Jones and their son Bill (Kelsey) Jones, and brother Mike Jones, Sister-in-law Michelle (Tom) Richards and their adult children Eric and Em Richards. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles W. and Elizabeth O. Jones and Pam and Wayne’s beloved dog Peanut.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
