Victor G. Hammon

Age 62. Beloved son of the late Herminia and the late Otis Vic Hammon. Loving brother of Karen Hammon (Gebhardt) and dear brother-in-law of John M. Gebhardt. A nearly life-long resident of Allen Park, Vic was employed by Michigan.com, formerly The Detroit News, for over 44 years. He loved northern Michigan and enjoyed summers at Houghton Lake, golfing, and fishing in his younger days. He was a graduate of Allen Park High School and St. Cyril of Jerusalem Grade School. He will be dearly missed by his sister who loved sharing memories with him of their childhood and parents. Memorial Visitation Monday, March 7 from 6 - 8 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI 48101. Funeral Mass at 10:00am Tuesday, March 8 (Gathering from 9:30 am) at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 6442 Pelham Road, Taylor. Interment at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
