Starr Forsyth Kline

September 25, 1941 — October 27, 2022

The Reverend Starr Forsyth Kline passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 27, 2022. His family takes comfort knowing he is now with his best friend Jesus, his parents and beloved daughter Mary Helen.

Father Starr was born on September 25, 1941 to the late Starr and Helen (Forsyth) Kline. He grew up in Allen Park Michigan and attended Western Michigan University where he graduated with a degree in speech therapy. He then attended the General Theological Seminary in New York where he was ordained a priest with the Episcopal Church. After 25 years of  serving various parishes around Michigan he transitioned to the Charismatic Episcopal Church where he continued to love and serve people. He truly loved his vocation.  His love of the Lord shown through to everyone he encountered.
On July 29,1972 he married the love of his life who he lovingly referred to as “Pamsy”. In their 50 years of marriage they were blessed with 5 children and 11 grandchildren who all adored their  Grandpa/“Pop Pop.”
Father Starr is survived by his wife, Pamela Kline, brother Charles (Carol) Kline and his children, Bethany (Jason) Krohn, Starr Stephen Kline, Elysia (Paul) LaPan,  John Kline and his 11 grand children, Jordan, Abigail, Isaiah, Jayden, Samuel, Joseph, Elijah, Jeremiah, Jillian, Silas and Adelaide.
Starr was a man of many talents and blessed many with his singing and guitar playing. His love of music was passed to his children and grandchildren. He was a talented woodworker, fisherman, an avid gardener and made beautiful stained glass art. He was a lifelong Tigers fan. He also loved trains! Building model trains, and taking his grand children to Greenfield Village to ride the train was always a favorite tradition.
Father Starr will be remembered  for his love for the Lord and gentle spirit, his quick wit and his love of potato chips with dip, and donuts on Sunday mornings.
