Roy J. Harning Jr.

Born August 26, 1921. Passed away July 29, 2007. Cherished husband of the late Rosemary (Needham). Proud father of Michael (Ellen), Suzanne (Barry), Mark (Kathy), Patricia (James) Milotz, and the late James. Loving grandfather of Lauren, Erin, Megan, Benjamin, Maura, and William. Beloved brother of Mary Louise. Husband of the late Mona Curtis. Step-father of Carol, Cliff (Carolyn). Step-grandfather of Christine, David, Collete, Catherine. Dear friend of the late Eleanor Bargowski. “Fritz II” will miss him. Visitation Tuesday 2 – 8 pm with a vigil service at 7 pm., and Wednesday 10 am until 11: 00 am with a K of C rosary at 10:30 am at Weise Funeral Home 7210 Park, Allen Park (313 382-1150). In State Wednesday 11:30 am until time of Mass 12 noon at St. Frances Cabrini Church (9000 Laurence, at Wick). Interment Thursday 12 noon at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery. Mr. Harning was a Parish Usher since 1962, a K of C member since 1953, an Oakwood Hospital Spiritual Service Volunteer since 1994, as he always said “Peace”. Memorial gifts can be made to the Fr. Clare Murphy Scholarship Fund or the St. Frances Cabrini Organ Fund.
