Ronald B. Buzzy

August 19, 1964 — September 26, 2020

Age 56. Beloved husband of Leslie Tosh-Buzzy. Loving father of Lauren, Michael and Jacob Buzzy. Dear brother of Deborah Buzzy, Charles Buzzy and George (Linda) Buzzy. Preceded in death by his parents Beryl and Charles Buzzy.

The life of Ronald (Ron) Buzzy was defined by his passions, hobbies, his exemplarily character, and most of all, the immense love he had for those around him. One of his greatest passions was for the outdoors. Ever since he was young, Ron spent many summers up north at his family cottage, and hunted avidly throughout Michigan with his friends and family. While many of his hunting expedients rarely yielded a deer, a fact which he would not let many soon forget, he nevertheless persisted fall after fall to continue to engage in an activity he loved. His love for the outdoors was one that stemmed greatly from his ever-curious mind. Ron was a life long learner, and always craved new knowledge on subjects such as history, nature, business, and the automotive world. One could often find him hunched over his computer reading an article on the latest development in electric vehicles, or sitting in his living room chair soaking up the newest History Channel documentary. Ron’s passions and interests were ones that fueled his ever-curious self, and left often humorously heartfelt impacts on those around him.
With many passions and idiosyncrasies by which one could remember Ron Buzzy by, the one thing that truly defined him as an individual was his unyielding care, devotion, and love he had for his family and friends. Ron Buzzy was the personification of the word selfless. Whether it was rushing to the aid of a sick relative states away in the middle of the night, comforting friends who were experiencing hardships themselves, helping a neighbor with a house or yard project, being there to offer levity in the face of saddens, Ron Buzzy always gave every ounce of his being to care, comfort, and be there for others. If selfless represented who Ron was as an individual, then it was his loving wife and children who represented his world. Married to Leslie Buzzy for over 26 years, the marriage Ron and Leslie shared was one of sheer devotion, respect, and unyielding love which rivaled many of the greatest pairings in history. Ron and Leslie’s three children, Michael, Lauren, and Jacob, added as much vivaciousness, love, and curiosity to Ron’s life as he added to theirs. They all continue to carry on the best of who Ron was. Ron Buzzy cared deeply for those who were in his life, and he made a herculean effort to consistently be there for the friends and family that he cared for; which is an impact that will persist throughout all who knew him.
While the sudden passing of Ron Buzzy is a tremendous loss, the many facets of his existence that those knew him by will continue to live on. One can hear the joy of Ron in a Louis Prima song or in the warm breeze of a summer afternoon. One can sense the curiosity of Ron in any subject that sparks one’s interest, and sense his humor in a family story recounted countless times. One can sense the heart of Ron in an act of kindness, but most importantly, one can feel the love of Ron Buzzy in the memories held by those he impacted. It is through these most incredible things that the memory and spirit of Ron Buzzy will continue to live on forever.
