Robert D. Stevens

Robert David Stevens Sr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 8,1938 the tenth of twelve children born to Charles Joseph Sr. and Mary (Kost) Stevens. The family moved to Lorain, Ohio when he was a young boy. Robert is a proud Marine Corps veteran and was a merchant marine traveling all over the world to such places as India, Japan, England, Spain, France, Germany and Thailand.

He has lived in about ten different states and has visited many others. He retired from the Chicago Stock Exchange and had a lifelong interest in the stock market and trading. He was an avid coin collector.

He is the father of Darleen, Robert Jr., Shirley and Charles. He is the grandfather of George, Patrick and David. Robert is survived by his brothers Louis Stevens and Joseph Stevens as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Robert will be remembered for his keen mind, kindness and generosity.

Visitation for Robert will be from 12:00pm - 4:00pm Sunday, March 2 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park (313-382-1150).

The Downriver Veteran's Honor Guard will have a Veteran's service for Robert beginning at 3:30pm Sunday at Weise Funeral Home.

Interment Calvary Lorain Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio.
