Robert Loyd

Age 61. Beloved Husband of Jane. Dearest Son of Rose and the late Clifford Loyd. Loving Father of Bill (Theresa) Couturier, Melissa (Andrew) Lambert, and Daniel Loyd. Dear Brother of Kathleen (Curtis) Baker and Mark (Cindi) Loyd. Proud Papa of Billy, Brooklynn, Abby, Eleanor and Henry.

Bob Loyd was an educator in Allen Park for over 30 years at both Cabrini and Allen Park High School. During that time he impacted countless lives as a teacher, coach, and mentor. Bob was a passionate member of the community. He served as a member of the Allen Park School Board for the last year of his life.

Bob lived life to the fullest. He loved to travel and experience the world first hand. He enjoyed running, boating and water skiing.

Above all else, Bob loved his family. He treasured every minute spent with his Wife, Kids, and Grandkids.

Visitation for Mr. Loyd will be 1:00pm - 8:00pm Sunday, September 29 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park ( 313-382-1150 ).

Funeral service 10:00am Monday, September 30 (In state from 9:30am ) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park.

Interment Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Loyd should be directed to the Robert Loyd Memorial Scholarship (make checks payable to Canton Community Foundation and include in the memo line Robert Loyd Memorial Scholarship). Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home or you may also donate online at www.cantonfoundation.org . The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior or seniors at Allen Park High School.
