Age 83; of Lincoln Park, MI; passed away Thursday, November 20, at Rivergate Terrace in Riverview, MI. Nevin was born November 10, 1931, in Youngstown, OH, to Robert J. and Marion (Irvine) Webster. His family moved to Detroit when he was a youngster, eventually settling in Taylor, MI. He graduated from Hope College and Western Theological Seminary in Holland MI. He married Dorothy (Dot) Morrison in 1956. Nevin faithfully served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as chaplain at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and as pastor of churches in Coxsackie, NY, Hawthorne, NJ, Denver, CO, and Allen Park, MI. He loved people of all ages and was a real “be there” husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, pastor, and friend. Traveling was one of his joys, including two long cross country mission trips by bicycle in his later years. Nevin is survived by his wife, Dorothy. His children, Nevin (Elissa) Webster, Jr., John (JoLynn) Webster, Deborah (Ron) Wood, Rick (Beth) Webster and Paul (Wendy) Webster. His brothers, Robert (Peggy) Webster, John (Kay) Webster and David (Judy) Webster. His sisters-in-law Rosemary Olson and Linda (Eugene) Litherland. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Preceded in death by his sister and her husband Marion (Paul) White and his brother-in-law Wayne Olson. Visitation Monday 1 – 8 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI 48101. (313) 382-1150. In State Tuesday 9 am until time of Funeral Service 10 am at the First Presbyterian Church, 2799 West Rd., Trenton, MI 48183. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
