Patricia J. Chelemen

March 31, 1927 — October 22, 2017

Devoted wife of the late Donald J. Chelemen. Loving mother of Sue Lin (Peter) Andres, Robert Wesley (Kitty) Chelemen and David Chelemen. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Joanne) Andres, Laura (Scott) Draper, Lisa (Parker II) Salowich, Tina (Robert) Beck, Tracy (Val) Baruzzini, Anthony (Helen) Chelemen and Nicholas and Mia Chelemen. Beloved great grandmother of Raymond, Matthew, Margaret and Joseph Andres, Brooke and Michael Lafayette, Grace and Isabella Chelemen, Jacob Gillette, Parker III and Charles Salowich, William and Anna Draper. Her first great grandson Daniel Byron predeceased Mrs. Chelemen in 2014.

Mrs. Chelemen was born in Rutledge, Missouri on March 31, 1927 and raised in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She spent summers in Missouri with her grandparents and cousins. Being an only child, her cousins Margaret and Murline Meyer were like sisters to her. Family was always her first priority though she worked outside of the home also. She was a very efficient administrative secretary in several positions including the Childhood Leukemia Center at the Kansas University Medical Center and the Child Appraisal Center at the former Wyandotte General Hospital. She was probably best known as the church secretary at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Lincoln Park during the 50's and early 60's. She and husband Don were very active members at that church and were the leaders of the first Youth Group in 1955. Pat sang in the adult choir and served on the Altar Guild as well.
