Michael Stanley Gorski

Age 74, June 3, 2025.  Beloved husband of Cathy.  Loving father of Brian Gorski, Rich (Catie) Gorski and Mary (Chris Carico) Gorski.  Dear brother of the late Don Gordon.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews and the family dog Gauge.

Mike was known for his deep love of the outdoors and a strong appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished those trips with his two sons and the quiet early mornings in the woods or on the water. He found special joy in gardening alongside his daughter. Planting not just flowers and vegetables, but memories that will bloom for years to come. He also enjoyed traveling and took great pride in planning trips with his wife Cathy, always eager to explore new places or revisit beloved spots.

You could always find Mike at home and in his garage. Working on household projects, he was never one to shy away from a challenge, always taking pride in fixing things with his own two hands. He had a natural talent for turning a house into a home. His backyard was his sanctuary—a place where he could unwind with his loyal dog, Gauge, always following him, and by his side. In the evenings you would find Mike and Gauge intensely watching his beloved Red Wings, Lions, or Tigers. He found peace in those small, quiet moments.

Mike was the kind of person others turned to—a natural helper who never hesitated to lend a hand. He was the greatest husband, father, friend, and neighbor. He had a way to always bring out the best in a situation, whether it was through a joke, a laugh, or words of wisdom, he always left you with a smile and a memory. Mike is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and love. His infectious laugh and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Friday June 13, 2025 from 4- 8 pm at Weise Funeral Home. 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI 48101

In State Saturday from 9:30 am until time of Memorial Mass 10 am at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park, MI  48101
