Larry passed away on January 31, 2013 in an auto accident. Larry was the beloved son of the late George and Anna Manolis. Larry was the youngest of seven siblings: Athanasia Nancy Ioannou (the late John), Michael, John (Connie), Nickolas, the late Chris (Angela Tzelepis), and Diane Michalakis (Chris). He was also the uncle to many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him. Larry, an architect by profession, was creative and artistic. He also had great enthusiasm for literature, film, nature, politics, the Detroit Tigers, and for the City of Detroit and its future. His love for his family and his infectious smile will always inspire us. May his memory be eternal. Visitation at the Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave; Allen Park, MI; on Sunday February 3, 2013: 3 pm to 8 pm (Family Hour at 2 pm). Trisayion prayers at 5 pm. Funeral at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church, 39851 Five Mile Rd; Plymouth, MI on Monday; February 4, 2013: 10:30 am Visitation, and 11 am Funeral Service. Interment at the White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI. Donations may be made to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Church; or to the Panicarian Brotherhood of Michigan. No flowers please.
