Matthew Frank Sirianni

June 18, 1969 — October 27, 2024

Matthew Frank Sirianni, age 55, of Allen Park, Michigan, a man of unwavering faith was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 27th, 2024. Matt was preceded  in death by his beloved mother, Jane Acosta and his dear father-in-law, David Dailey.  Loving husband of Laura. Proud father of Jake (Sadie) and Nick. Admired son of Pat (Evelyn) Sirianni. Survived by loving brother, Larry and sister, Sue (Bill). Also survived by loving mother-in-law, Caroline (Chris), sister-in-law, Susan (Matt) and brother-in-law Brian (Jennifer) and dear friend Brian Woolf. He will also be greatly missed by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Matt was born on June 18, 1969 in Dearborn, Michigan. He was a hardworking and goal oriented young man who started out as a porter and worked his way up to dealership service manager by age 30. He then went on to work in various automotive roles, serving as a BG sales representative, General Manager of Speedy Automotive Group and Regional Manager for Tuffy Automotive. Matt took great pride in his work, having high expectations for himself and his employees. He often said, “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence” (Vince Lombardi). He worked as long as he was  physically able, as his work was not only fulfilling but the fabric of who he was.

Matt was an outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, hike and many other outdoor activities (especially if he could enjoy a cold one while doing so). He was a very involved father, coach, leader, mentor and teacher. This led him to coaching baseball, being a scout leader and serving at church in various capacities. Matt was a natural leader in many ways. He led by example, and was wise beyond his years, never missing an opportunity to share that wisdom with any friend, family member, employee, co-worker or player.

Matt was a man with a great foundation in faith, family and friends (in that order). He was instrumental in maintaining family traditions. He thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to our annual New Years Eve party, holiday parties with family, birthday parties and any other quality time spent with family. Baseball was a true passion of Matt’s, as a player, a coach and a lifelong Detroit Tigers Fan. He coached both of his sons and countless others over the course of twenty years. Through his coaching, we gained lifelong friends.

Matt began to show signs of ALS in early 2018 and was diagnosed in May of 2018. ALS is a devastating disease, but Matt faced this challenge with faith, a positive attitude and perseverance. He told us at the beginning of this journey that he would fight as hard as he could, for as long as he could. He did just that! Matt always had a strong faith and it was that faith that carried him, and all of us, through this ALS journey.

Matt touched so many lives in so many ways. We are all thankful, blessed and better people for having known him. God bless you, Matt!
