Matthew Hobbs

Age 43, February 10, 2025.  Dearest nephew of Ellen (late Larry) Templin.  Best friend of Mike (Lauren) Rekuc and Brian (Lyndsey) Nicklas.  Loving uncle of Hailey, Jackson, Jayden, Everett and Leighton.

Matt was a fighter. He survived a fight with cancer and was a successful recipient of a liver transplant.

He was a proud supporter of "Relay for Life" and participated in "Flush out Cancer" by delivering purple toilets to houses for display, in order to help raise awareness and collect donations for the fight against cancer.

Matthew worked at Dunham's Sporting Goods for over 25 years. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the game of hockey.

Matt had a very large collection of action figures with his favorites being He-Man and Transformers.

Visitation for Matthew will be Saturday, February 15 from 12 noon until 4 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI  48101

Memorial Contributions can be made to Relay for Life or the American Cancer Society

Cremation will follow services.
