Mary Louise Harning

Mary Louise Harning was born on May 25, 1934, in the family home on Campbell and Christiancy in Southwest Detroit. Michigan. She was the second child of Roy, Sr. and Louise (Gagnier) Harning.  Mary was devoted to her parents, brother, Roy Jr. and her sister-in-law, Rosemary, and to her nieces and nephews: Michael (Ellen), Suzanne, Mark (Kathy), Patricia (James) Milotz and the late James Harning. Mary was also aunt to many great nieces and nephews. She was dedicated to attending church, her nearly fifty years of work at Meritor, retirement, gardening, Tiger baseball and reading the church bulletin and local newspaper.  Our Aunt Mary was tenacious and found solace in her faith and family. She was an Allen Park resident for over 36 years.

A funeral Mass of Resurrection will take place Saturday December 7, 2024 at 12:00pm (In state from 11:30am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick) in Allen Park. A private inurnment, next to her parents, will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MIchigan at a later date. Please pray for the peaceful repose of her soul.
