Mary Mayola Byrnes

Loving Wife of 61 years to Bob. Devoted mother of 4 proud children (Judy, David, Mark and Janice). Grandmother of 7 and Great Grandmother of 1. Mary came from a family of 10 children (9 deceased). She attended General Motors Institute in 1945, completing 2 years of college. She was employed as a secretary at the General Motors Building in Detroit for 4 years before starting a family which she cared for so dearly. She then went back to work as a teller/receptionist at Security Bank for 20 years. Mary suffered and overcame two different cancers, five major surgeries and severe glaucoma but could not beat the dementia that crept up on her these last special years. She proudly leaves behind a memory of kindness she possessed and care she exemplified throughout her wonderful life. We will all have special memories of her. Good night sweet angel.

Memorial Services for Mary will be 10:30am Saturday, November 7 (Gathering at Church from 10am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park. Memorial Contributions to the Alzheimers Association would be appreciated.
