Lois Ann Teed

Teed, Lois Ann, 77, of Allen Park, MI, died peacefully on July 18, 2019. She was born on September 18, 1941 in Detroit, MI, and was the youngest of 6 children.

Lois was joined in Holy Matrimony to Jerry Teed in 1963 at St. Alphonsus in Dearborn, MI. They were married for 57 years.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a devout Roman Catholic and faithful servant of God. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, socializing and entertaining with friends, gardening and beautifying her home, and volunteering at her Parish, St. Frances Cabrini, in Allen Park, MI.

Lois was very active, energetic and passionate about living a life, guided by faith, to the fullest. Her greatest joy was gathering family and loved ones together for holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions including summer weekends and sunsets at the family cottage on Point Pelee, Ontario. She also tirelessly supported her grandchildren in all of their religious, educational, and athletic endeavors. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; children Mary Lois (Michael) Gass, David Teed (Janelle Sammut), Jim (Lisa) Teed, Dennis (Emily) Teed, Robert (Mary) Teed, Joe (Jennifer) Teed and sixteen grandchildren. Also survived by brother Leo (Patty) Hirsch, sister Mary Lou (late Jim) Sullivan and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leo and Irene Hirsch, brothers Rev. Robert Hirsch (C.SS.R), John (late Jacqueline) Hirsch, Richard Hirsch and grandson Mark Gass.

Visitation 1:00pm - 8:00pm Sunday, July 21 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park (313-382-1150).

Funeral service 10:00am Monday, July 22 (In state from 9:30am) at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park.
