Linda Joan Mclaughlin

Linda Joan McLaughlin, a woman of remarkable strength and kindness, passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 81. Linda was born in 1943, to Kenneth W. Lieber and Helen Stauffer. She grew up in Allen Park Michigan, a graduate of Allen Park High School Class of 1961. Linda attended Alma College for two years and graduated in 1965 from Detroit College of Business. She eventually worked at Lieber Real Estate as an Administrative Assistant. After meeting at a military dance, Linda married Timothy G. McLaughlin. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage and had two children, Shea and Cally. She devoted much of her time and love to her family. She enjoyed volunteering in the community and was actively involved in many organizations. Linda was a member of the Ruth Circle at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church. For 12 years she held a leadership role in the Girl Scouts. She was an amazing teacher and role model who taught the importance of kindness and courage. She also played a key role in the Army Reserve Family Program, providing continuous support and information to soldiers and their family members. Later in life Linda found much joy and happiness in the Red Hat Society. You could always find her in red and purple. Linda was a beautiful person on the inside and out, she loved discovering and learning new things. She enjoyed the outdoors and was always ready for a camping adventure. Her favorite place to visit was the cottage "Up North". Linda loved spending time with family and friends. She was very proud of her children and her grandchildren, she spoke of them frequently. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Timothy. She is survived by her brothers Kenneth (Alice) and George (Patti), sisters Judith and Constance (John), children Shea (Christine), and Cally (Geoff), grandchildren Abigeal, Gavin, Camille, Maxton and William and her great-grandson Grayson.

A Memorial visitation will be held for Linda from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on April 13, 2025, at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI 48101 (313-382-1150). The memorial service will be held at 7pm.
