Leath Ann Vaughan

Age 80. Beloved wife of the late Jim. Loving mother of Leath Vaughan, and Kevin (Chris) Vaughan. Dear sister of the late Joseph (Ida) Sarasin. Dear step sister of Joe Richards. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Leath Ann was born and raised in Boyne City, MI before working at the Timken Axel Plant in Detroit, where she met Jim, her husband of 52 years. Leath Ann loved to spend hours gardening her flowers and was a longtime member of the Allen Park Garden Club. Another passion of hers was to be with the ladies in the mission sewing circle at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church where she has been a member for the last 53 years. Leath Ann was a breast cancer survivor for fourteen years until succumbing to complications of a cerebral hemorrhage on Dec. 3, 2009. Visitation Sunday 12 noon until 8 pm at the Weise Funeral Home 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park (313 382-1150). In State Monday 11:00 am until time of service 11:30 am at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church 7101 Park Ave., Allen Park. Interment Michigan Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to the Allen Park Presbyterian Church.
