Keith "Rol" Knutson

Age 84. Beloved husband of the late Sally. Loving father of Karen (Peter) Goldman, Keith E. Knutson and Jeffrey E. (Linda) Knutson. Dearest grandfather of Kathleen and Matthew Knutson. Mr. Knutson was born in East Grand Forks Minnesota, and moved to Michigan in 1942. He married Sally Powers in 1947, and resided in the city of Allen Park for the remainder of his life. He was a distinguished Army veteran of WWII, and was awarded 2 bronze stars. He served in Company C, 385th infantry 76th division, and had stayed in touch with his company members at their annual reunions. He worked at Detroit Tank Automotive Command as the chief communications officer until his retirement in 1983. He was an active member of the Allen Park Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir for 35 years. Funeral services are Monday 11:00 am at the Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park
