Joseph Donald Hutchison

Age 92, June 2, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Lola. Loving father of Janet (Christopher) Ford, Kevin Hutchison and the late Cathleen Smith Hutchison. Dearest grandfather of Susan Bennett, Mike Ford and Eric Fichtner. Dear great grandfather of Nick and Jessica. Dear uncle of Don, Gary, Tom, Barbara, Ken and Cindy. Mr. Hutchison was a proud member of the Army Air Corp, serving in the Aleution Islands during WWII. He participated in the first heavy bombing mission to Japan (Paramushiru). Mr. Hutchison held many patents as a design engineer at the Ford Motor Company including the first opening rear window in Ford Pick-Up Trucks. He was a lifetime member of the Masons and the V.F.W. Throughout his life he generously donated over 13 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. Visitation Monday 1 - 8 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI 48101. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 pm. In State Tuesday 10 am until time of Funeral Service 11 am at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church, 7101 Park Ave., Allen Park. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
