John Mazag

December 3, 1971 — March 1, 2025

John Mazag, 53, of Van Buren, Michigan, died from complications related to heart surgery on March 1, 2025.
John was born on December 3, 1971, in Okinawa Japan, and much to the relief of those who knew him, could never be elected President. He attended high school at Allen Park High and then went on to Henry Ford Community College. John worked for Ford Motor Company as an assembly plant team leader.
John fiercely loved his family, friends and a good adventure. Always ready to try anything (if the location was warm and did not involve hiking), John traveled to Japan, Mexico, the Caribbean and most recently to Hawaii with his family. He was passionate about rollercoasters, woodworking, Japanese snack food, 311 and laughter. John enjoyed poking fun at those around him and spending time with family and friends. John was loved more than he will ever know, and words cannot describe how much he will be missed.
John is survived and deeply loved by his heartbroken family, father Kurt, mother Masako (deceased), stepmother Sue, sisters Jenny and Melissa (Andy), and his beloved dog Arya (aka Fatty).
