John "Johnny" M. Oates

John Oates, beloved son, brother, friend, dies at 34
John Martin Oates IV died on April 3, 2012 in his home in Henderson, Nev., at the age of 34.
Oates was born June 1, 1977 in Monroe, Mich., to John and Marilyn Oates, of Allen Park, who survive him. He is also survived by sister and brother-in-law Jenni and Lance Kongeal and their sons Gavin and Landon; sister Beth Coggins and her daughter Avery; Blue Pitbull Bella; and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents John and Katherine Oates; Anthony and Bernice Duspiva and aunt Joyce Davis.
Oates attended Allen Park High School, and earned his journeyman’s license as a plumber.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, (313) 382-1150, with a funeral service at 11 a.m. on April 16. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to http://guidance-center.org/donate.
