Jean Mesic

We are saddened to share news of the passing of Gloria 'Jean' Mesic on 13 June 2020 at the age of 77.  She had been battling Myelodysplastic Syndrome for the last 5 months which progressed to Acute Leukemia in weeks, spending the last few weeks in hospital.

Jean has acted as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and Cantor at St. Frances Cabrini, Guitarist/Vocalist at Saint Constance Parish, and a funeral choir member of the now Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church.

"Mrs. Mesic" was the 'mom at school' for hundreds of Cabrini Grade School students beginning in 1975 until her retirement in 2000, followed by occasional substitute work in various secretarial positions in the Melvindale Northern Allen Park School District.

Jean is survived by her husband Ron, children Ron Jr (Kathy) and Janine (Peter) Kopera, and granddaughter Mya Kopera.

The family extends our most sincere thanks to the blood donors who have donated so much more than blood.

Funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, June 19 for Immediate Family only.
