Janet Danosky

June 12, 1948 – October 27, 2025

Janet Danosky grew up in Allen Park, Michigan in a lively and close-knit family, the 2nd of seven children. She leaves behind her 6 siblings; Sue Anderson (Mike), Dan Danosky (Anne), Jerry Danosky (Karen), Marianne Krusz (Chris), Jeanne Scott, and Jim Danosky (Faith), along with 11 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews whom she adored. Janet never missed a family get-together and was a constant, joyful presence on every occasion.

She graduated from Cabrini High School in Allen Park, Michigan. She received a Bachelors of Education from Nazareth College in Kalamazoo, Mi and her career focused on teaching high school Art at Bishop Foley High School and Clarkston High School for 41 years. In 1999 Janet completed her Masters in Humanities from Central Michigan University.

Friendships always came easy to Janet and she cherished each one. In 1966 she met her lifelong friends, known as “The Garden Club”. Throughout the years, there were many friends she shared experiences with and in the past two years she was blessed with friends at Allegria, including a special companion that filled her days with laughter, love and peace.

Her passions, beyond her family and friends, included stained glass and travel. Most who knew her have a piece or two of her glassworks to remember her by. She never passed up an opportunity to travel and adventured across all the states and internationally whenever possible.

Janet will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness and devotion to family and friends.

Visitation for Janet will be from 10:00am - 11:00am Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park (313-382-1150).

Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00am Saturday, November 1 at Weise Funeral Home.
