CURRIER, Jane A. of Allen Park; passed away peacefully on May 27th after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Robert V. "Bob" for 59 wonderful years. Loving mother of Thomas (Alice) Currier, Susan (Scott Paulot) Cavaretta, Mary Jane (Kevin) Canary, and Timothy (Lisa) Currier. Proud grandmother of Renee Cavaretta, Caroline (Jake Pociluyko) Currier, Heather (Kevin) Marzolo, Natalie Cavaretta, Lauren Canary, Kate Currier, Owen Currier, Noah Currier, and Robert Cavaretta. Step-grandmother of Katherine and Daniel Paulot. Cherished sister of James (the late Patricia) Henneberry. Sister-in-law of Carol (the late Cmdr. John) Kolata
and Jeanne (Michael) Vagnetti. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and a large number of dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, James G. and Helen Henneberry.
Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She had a passion for travel, having visited all fifty states, and cherished camping trips with family and friends. A longtime member of St. Frances Cabrini and the Christian Women, Jane's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She treasured family gatherings, particularly Christmas Eve, when all her children and grandchildren could be together.
Jane's warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation on Wednesday, May 29th from 3-8 pm with 7:00pm Rosary at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park (313-382-1150).
Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 30th at 10am (In State from 9:30am) at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 9000 Laurence (at Wick), Allen Park.
Interment at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery.
