Jane Patricia Baier, 84, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated Navy veteran, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born on March 19, 1939, and leaves behind a legacy of love and service that touched the lives of many.

Jane was the loving wife of the late John Baier for an incredible 63 years, a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Together, they built a family that was the center of Jane's life. She was a proud and nurturing mother to her 6 sons Michael, Joseph, Mark, Christopher, Patrick, and Eric. Jane was not only a mother but a guiding light in their lives, instilling in them the values of love, compassion, and perseverance.

Her grandchildren, Cassandra, Andrea, Daniel, John, Emily, Amy, and Noah, brought immense joy to her life, and Jane was a cherished presence in theirs. Her great-grandchildren, Sean and Ian, were the apple of her eye, and she adored watching them grow.

Jane served her country with honor as a Navy veteran, and her patriotism was unwavering. After her military service, she embraced the role of a dedicated stay-at-home mom, providing unwavering support and love to her family. She also worked as a home health aide in later years, extending her nurturing care to others in need.

Jane had a heart full of compassion and was an avid volunteer for the handicapped, tirelessly giving her time and energy to make a difference in their lives. Her dedication to helping others was a testament to her selflessness.

Jane's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devout Catholic. Her spirituality guided her actions and served as a source of strength and inspiration to all who knew her. She found solace, hope, and community within her church, where she shared her positivity and love.

An avid reader, Jane had a thirst for knowledge that never waned. Her love for books allowed her to explore new worlds and ideas, and she often shared her passion for reading with her family and friends.

Jane Patricia Baier will be remembered for her unwavering positivity and zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Public Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery,18303 Allen Road, Brownstown. Graveside burial will take place immediately after the service.
