Jack L. Mann

Age 83. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Laura and Karen Mann. Dear brother of Susan (John) Burke, Mary (Richard) Hillier, Gerald (Sue), George (Colleen) and the late Jim (Louise) Mann.

Jack was a kind and gentle soul.  He grew up in the Warrendale neighborhood of Detroit as he would proudly emphasize.  He worked for the City of Detroit in community and economic development his entire career as a "civil servant", as he so often referred to himself.  He took quiet pride in the work he did and especially enjoyed the people he worked with, forming lifelong friendships.  He loved a good book, woodworking in his workshop in the garage, making delicious bread, fishing, bowling and playing poker.  He loved the outdoors and planted many a tree that will live on in his good spirit.  But most of all he loved his two daughters, giving them all they would want and need and, most especially, his wife who he deeply and truly loved all the 62 years of their magnificent marriage.

Memorial Visitation 2:00pm - 8:00pm Saturday, June 27 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park.
