Irene E. Falkowski

February 13, 1929 — May 7, 2022

On May 7, 2022, Irene peacefully joined the Lord and her late husband,
Edward. She was in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her
family and friends.

Family was always Irene’s first priority. She grew up in Detroit with her
parents and brother where they settled after immigrating from Poland. She
graduated from the University of Detroit. Irene was named Madame
Cadilac in 1951. Once married, she found her self travelling all over the
country with Ed and her four children. In 1964, they settled in Allen Park.
Irene was recognized as “My Favoite Teacher” in 1968, by the Detroit
News. Several of her students and co-teachers have kept in contact
throughout her life. When she retired, Irene and Ed enjoyed several trips
abroad and took many cruises. She loved to dance, draw, garden, golf,
swim, bicycle, scrapbook and socialize, “including phone visits”. Irene
loved a party. She was active in her parish. Irene cherished her 56 years
with Ed, who was the love of her life. Above all, Irene’s family was always
her main priority and concern - she was a peace maker.

Irene was the beloved wife of the late Edward Falkowski. Loving mother of
Ruth (late Carl) Cope, Denis (Jackie) Falkowski, Janice Falkowski and
Michael Falkowski. Treasured Grandmother to Jennifer (Stephen) and
Brandon. Great-grandmother and “Best Bappi Ever” to Jadzia LilyRose.
She is also survived by her nephew Mike (Pat), great nieces Marla and Sandra, and great nephew Mark, many
special cousins and their families, dear friends, fabulous neighbors and
fellow parishioners.

Irene will be dearly missed and fondly remembered as a generous, loving
woman with a kind word and her beautiful smile for everyone!
