Family Tribute ~
Henry (Hank) was born to the late Maria Catherine (Stephenson) and Henry Collins on October 20, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. The family soon moved to Melvindale where Hank worked hard at a young age for his Boss Steve who owned the local store at the end of his street. He went on to own that store known as “Hank’s” for many years. Hank first married out of high school at a young age having had 5 children. He loved boating, watersports and being the life of the party with his humor and wit. Many years later in 2009, Hank and Lisa (St.John -Collins) found each other in 2009 and spent almost 16 years together, having married in 2016. Hank battled many health issues but still managed to take care of his triple lot, pool and house until just a few years ago. Hank loved so many things, boating, watersports, his Harley, ‘Cuda, ‘Vette, and working on anything with a motor in it! But helping others fix things was at the top of his list, always. Lisa nicknamed him “Hankaduit” because people would stop by daily needing help fixing something. Lisa retired early in 2019 as his health began to decline more. Then Covid and losing his dog Sheba in 2022 caused even more decline. He will be missed by so many.
Private Cremation services were chosen by the family.
