Harold Paps

Age 91. Retired from the Detroit News after 44 years of service, as a City Circulation Manager. Served in the Military in WWII from 1943 to 1946. As a Platoon Sgt. with the 1st Calvary Division he saw action in Asia and South Pacific Theaters, and was in the Occupation of Japan. Preceded in death by son John and wife of 68 years Bernice. He is survived by daughter in law Jacqueline Paps, grandson Russell (Catherine) Paps, granddaughter Sheryl (Walter) Mazur and great grandchildren Dylan and Shelby Mazur. Visitation Friday 1 - 8 pm. Funeral services Saturday 11:00 am at Weise Funeral Home 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park (313 382-1150). Entombment Monday 10:00 am Cadillac Memorial Gardens West. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
