Gary Edward Kleinsmith

Gary Edward Kleinsmith was born November 3, 1953 in Monroe, MI to Ruth Mary (Raymo) and Edward.  He joined his parents and nephew Jason in eternal life on June 19, 2016 after a short battle with lung cancer.  He is interred in Monroe.  Gary spent his early life playing by the River Raisin and attending St. Michael's school.  He graduated from Monroe Catholic Central 1971 and later, Ferris State College with a degree in Radiologic Technology.  He spent his career as a RT, CT and MRI Technician.  On July 28, 1979 He married Jill Doughty.  They have two children, Jeffrey and Amy.  He was a devoted husband and father and did everything in his power to make their wishes come true.  He was a talented handyman who could build, repair, and improve almost anything.  But he will be most remembered for his kind and gentle nature.  He accepted people as they were without judgement.  He always saw the best in people.  He will also be remembered for his mustache, and his love of coffee.  Besides his wife and children, he will be missed by his sister Gail, niece Katie (Danny) Shaw, sister-in-law Laura (Chris) Terwilliger and their children Andy, Sarah and Emily.  He will be missed by many, but none more than his wife.  Until we meet again.
