Fredrick Molnar

Fredrick (Fred) Molnar passed away on June 25th shortly before his 91st birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores, to whom he was married for close to 68 years.  He is the loving father of Denise (Bryan) Hester, Fred Jr (Julie) Molnar and Julia (Paul) Smith.  Dear grandfather of Kyle (Sara) Longwell, Kelly (Ken) Stringer, Katie (Bob) Barden, Matthew Molnar, Sarah (Kris) Knepley, Alex (Erin) Smith, Brian (Kyra) Smith and Carly Smith. He also sadly leaves behind 11 great grandchildren.

Fred will be remembered as a hard-working and loving family man. He retired from Detroit Edison in 1990 where he was a lineman for over 30 years. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors with his family and friends, especially hunting, fishing, camping, golf, gardening and traveling. Fred was also known for his ingenuity – whatever needed fixing he could fix, and whatever he set his mind to he was determined to get it done, no matter what.  He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

A memorial/celebration of life will be held at a later date.
