In Loving Memory of Frank Cabay
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Cabay (91), a man whose life was marked by the values of hard work and discipline. Frank departed from this world on January 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that resonates with his unwavering commitment to serving his country and his passion for excellence in all that he did.
Frank's love for golf was evident in the joy he found on the greens, where he honed his skills and embraced the camaraderie of the sport. A true handyman, he approached life with the belief that anything could be fixed, and he put his skills to the test with dedication. His tenacity extended to the kitchen, where he transformed cooking into an art form. With the precision of a machine, Frank could effortlessly slice an onion, creating culinary delights that left an indelible mark on the taste buds of those fortunate enough to enjoy his creations.
Beyond his skills and talents, Frank will be remembered for the warmth and love he shared with his extended family and dear friends. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
As we mourn the loss of a remarkable individual, let us also celebrate the life of Frank , a man whose dedication, passion, and love have left an enduring imprint on the hearts of those he leaves behind. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration for us all.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Cabay (Kerr) (August 2006) and predeceased by his Theresa MacEachern Cabay. He was the proud father of “The Cabay Girls” Linda Morrison (James), Carol Schmitt(Joe), Donna Brown (Rusty), Nancy Cabay-Parker, and Annie. Grandchildren; Derik Watson, Ellen Morrison, Claire Morrison, Karl Schmitt, Leah Amorose, Maggie Schmitt, Anna Brown, Chas Brown, Kit Brown, Wes Parker,
Caitlin Parker, Owen Hahn, Hayes Walsh, Lily Walsh, and Caleb Walsh. Great Grandchildren; Marley Absher, Adria Watson, Raelyn Schmitt, Braely Mooseman, Ana Mooseman, Frankie Amorose, Anistyn Amorose, Luciana Amorose, Oliver Kincaid, Jack Holder, Eva Holder, Delylah Holder.
A wake will be held at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park Michigan on Saturday, January 6 from 12-6 (short service at 5:30).
