Eileen M. Scarlett, 93 of Allen Park
February 26, 1927 - March 21, 2020

Beloved wife of Robert and loving mother of Thomas (Kristina), James (April), Michael (Julie), Robert (Rhonda), Joanne Denis, Joseph (Debbie), Mark, Daniel (Nadina), and Carol (Eric) Chaney. 22 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granchild and 5 more on the way.

Preceded in death by Father Alphonse Cloutier, Mother Rosanna Cazabon, Step-father Patrick Gallagher, brother Robert Gallagher, brother Patrick Gallagher, sister Ann Mott, sister Mary E. Gallagher and Great grandson Elijah Denis.

Eileen met the love of her life Robert in Detroit. She corresponded with him through the end of WWII while he was stationed in England. They married on February 1, 1947 and were married for 73 years. They lovingly raised 9 children together. She loved to golf, fish, bowl, garden and after raising her family worked part time in a flower shop. She also enjoyed watching all sporting events on TV and loved traveling by train with her husband to visit children in California and Colorado. She was also a long time member of the Christian Mothers at St. Frances Cabrini Church.

Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.

Memorial Mass Monday August 31, 2020, at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 9000 Laurence, Allen Park, 48101

Mass attendees will be required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing requirements.

Gathering at church will begin at 1:30 pm until Mass begins at 2:00 pm
