Dorothy L. Adams

Dorothy attended the University of Michigan, majoring in English literature. She was a long time devoted member of the Allen Park Presbyterian Church, serving the church in many capacities, and was active in the Southern Great Lakes Symphony. She enjoyed solving the daily crossword puzzles, playing cards and bridge and loved nature, flowers and gardening. She was an avid fan of many sports, including the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Pistons. Bust most of all she loved following college football and rooting for her hometown team, the Michigan Wolverines. She was employed by the Top Value Redemption Center and General Motors, from which she retired in 1980 so she could travel and spend time with her husband and family and friends.
Memorial Service on Saturday May 19, 2018 at 11:30am at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church Chapel, 7101 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI. She will be inurned along side her husband Lloyd Adams in the Allen Park Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Oakwood Common and the compassionate staff of Angela Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Angela Hospice 14100 Newburgh, Livonia MI 48154 ( www.angelahospice.org) or to the Memorial Fund of Allen Park Presbyterian Church.
