David L. Varady

David Varady died, after a bravely fought battle with cancer, on April 8, 2018, in Lincoln Park, MI at the age of 69.

Dave is survived by his mother Vonda Varady, his wife Barbara Varady, his children Nicole (Damanpreet) Bedi, and Todd (Andrea) Varady, and his grandchildren Ali, Kavia, and Mahalie.

Dave was born on June 30, 1948 to Vonda and Frank Varady of Allen Park, MI. He graduated from Allen Park High School before joining the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he graduated cosmetology school and went to work as a hairdresser. He would open his own salon, Inervisions in Hair Design of Allen Park, which he was owner and hairdresser for 40 years.

His hobbies included golf and playing music. He was a long time drummer and played with several local bands throughout his lifetime, the most recent of which was the Wild Dogs, who played many parties and charity events throughout Downriver.

A memorial is planned for Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 2:00-5:00pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Avenue, Allen Park, MI. A reception will be held after the memorial at the Lincoln Park Fraternal Order of Eagles, 2459 Dix Hwy., Lincoln Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center Voluntary Service.
