Clara Mae Prince

Clara Mae (Cochran) Prince passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Sunday July 6, 2008. Clara Mae was a piano teacher and organist. She was the organist at Christ Lutheran Church in River Rouge. When Angelica Lutheran Church of Allen Park was dedicated in 1952 she became their first organist and choir director. During World War II, she entertained our service men and women at the Lutheran Service Center in Detroit. She is survived by her sisters Elizabeth Gatherum and Irene Hochbaum, nephew Robert Gatherum and niece Marilyn Wand. Great Aunt of Carrie, Connie and Peter. Great Great Aunt of Adam. Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday and 12-8pm Thursday at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park (313-382-1150). Funeral Service 11am Friday (In State at 10am) at Angelica Lutheran Church, 8400 Park Avenue, Allen Park. Interment Glen Eden Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Angelica Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
