Chester Oleszkowicz

Chester John Oleszkowicz, 90, of Allen Park, MI, passed away on May 13, 2021. Chet was born on September 28, 1930 to Catherine (nee Swiatek) and John Oleszkowicz in Detroit, MI.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert, Leonard and Raymond as well as his sister-in-law Barbara.  He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Chet proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. Chet had great compassion and generosity, not only for his family but for his church as well as the numerous causes that he supported.  He loved watching and following all sports but especially the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings.  Chet was an avid bowler and golfer and participated in these sports well into his later years.  He loved traveling and made many trips to Myrtle Beach for golfing with his friends.  He always enjoyed family holidays, gatherings, monthly dinners and annual Tiger game outings. You could always count on Chet for a game of pool, ping pong, board games or just as readily a discussion on almost any topic. He will be remembered as a witty, caring, patient, and compassionate man. He will be sorely missed and remembered with great love.

There will be a private memorial for immediate family.  His final resting place will be at St. Hedwig Cemetery and Mausoleum in Dearborn Heights, MI.
