Bettyjean Sigro

92 years young.  June 28, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late Daniel, Sr.  Loving mother of Alice (Dave) Finazzo, Penny Canfield, Laura (Dave) Louzon, the late Daniel Sigro, Jr., the late Janet Sigro, the late Jack Sigro and Eva (Mike) Bumbul.  Dear godmother of Gayle Oliver.  Survived by her big little brother Glenn Artress, her sister-in-law Elna Artress, her sons-in-law Phil Mendis and John Lennen, her daughters-in-law Tina Mulheisen and Cyndi Kehoe, 25 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Visitation Saturday 1 - 8 pm and Sunday 12 noon until time of Funeral Service 2 pm at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI 48101.

BettyJean was born in Detroit, Michigan.  She was the 7th of 8 children born to Alice (Sadie) & George Artress.

She married Daniel L. Sigro Sr. on November 27, 1947 & they were blessed with 7 children of their own.  While raising her children, she managed to work several other jobs ranging from Store Clerk to Machine Operator.

Her life revolved around her family & being a Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great-Grandmother which brought her countless blessings & happy memories.

She nurtured her family & friends with compassion, wisdom and guidance.  She absolutely enjoyed cooking & baking, sharing her creations & making sure everyone was well fed!  She found great joy in swimming (especially floating), singing, bowling, telling a good joke, and gardening but most of all playing cards.

Two of her greatest pleasures were her beloved dog Joy and bird watching at her home on Joslin Lake.

She always had a smile & a kind word for everyone…she was a friend to all.

She was surrounded by many friends and family and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
