Beth Rennie

Elizabeth Ann Rennie was born on October 3, 1956, and is the third child and eldest daughter of James & Patricia Rennie. She is survived by her fur babies, Julius & Sundae, her long-loved companion, Anthony Crummie, as well as her brothers and sisters James (Robin) Rennie, David (Cindy) Rennie, (Sue) Rennie, Joan Rennie, Jean Rennie, George (Mary) Rennie, Patrick Rennie, Gail Rennie, Mary (Pat) Kane, Shannon Dehring, and her 19 nieces & nephews, and 24 great nieces & nephews, with one more on the way. Beth survived her younger brother Kevin, and passed away on May 27, 2023, after 66 great years.

Beth was known to her family and friends as Aunt Beth, Beppie, Beth, Bethann, Elizabeth, and most recently, Lilibet, a nickname given to her by her sister Joannie that Beth wished was used sooner because she liked it just that much.

Beth began working as a registered nurse at DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan in 1977. Beth loved working at Children's, and remained there until her body would not allow her to anymore. Her love for children and her love to care for others is what kept Beth going. During her tenure at Children's, Beth was involved with many special programs and projects, including C.A.P.S., Super Heroes, therapy dog training, and the Festival of Trees. Beth participated by personally decorating many Christmas trees for the Festival over the years.

For some of you, there was a time in your lives before you knew our sister Beth, and I bet it's safe to say that after you met Beth, you were never the same. Beth left an impact on everyone she met, even if the impact wasn't the same for everyone. Beth always had a special kind of love and compassion for those she cared about, as well as those she just didn't know more personally yet. Beth loved unconditionally, and we are deeply saddened to say the Rennie family has lost its "second" mother, its matriarch.

Visitation for Beth will be from 1:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday, May 31 at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park, Allen Park ( 313-382-1150 ).

Beth's service will be held 6:30pm Wednesday, May 31 at Weise Funeral Home.
