Audrey M. Doty

Age 90, December 28, 2020.  Beloved wife of the late Roger.  Loving mother of Sean Doty, Scott (Melissa) Doty and Denise (Jean-Charles) Bou. Dear grandmother of Brian, Michael, Corinne, Emmanuel, David, Jillian, Jack and Megan.  Dear great grandmother of Justin, Lucy, Christopher and Lily.

Audrey was a longtime school teacher as was her beloved husband, Roger.  They raised their family in Allen Park and were proud to eventually become great grandparents. Audrey was a steadfast member of the Allen Park Presbyterian Church and enjoyed participating in the women's groups there as well as helping out in the office from time to time.

An avid reader, she belonged to several book clubs over the years.  Audrey especially enjoyed taking part in  lively discussions with the American Association of University Women book group.  Travel was a lifelong passion.  She happily traveled abroad many times to visit her daughter and grandchildren wherever they were  living. She especially appreciated being able to experience everyday life in such diverse places as Japan, Italy and Canada.

Audrey loved to attend Detroit Symphony Orchestra concerts.  Sadly, her seat at Orchestra Hall is now empty.  Genealogy always fascinated her and she was pleased that some other family members were continuing to research our family history.  The many interests and love that Audrey shared with family and friends throughout her lifetime will live on in our hearts forever.

Memorial Service Sunday August 8, 2021, at Weise Funeral Home, 7210 Park Ave., Allen Park, MI  48101.

Gathering at the Funeral Home will begin at 3 pm until Memorial Service begins at 4 pm.
